Gharpetian's Wife Calls for GUSD School Board Candidates: Men Respond

Former GUSD Board Member Armina Gharpetian (and wife of Extremist-endorser Vartan Gharpetian!) took to social media last week to call for School Board candidates in her former trustee area. (Vartan may be too busy out joyriding in the streets of Glendale to care. Although Armina did use "we" in her post). Armina Gharpetian posted her call on Facebook on February 1st.

In 2022, Armina lost her race after it appeared that she was selling $50 Covid tests out of her dental practice (the very same month she voted for GUSD to require a negative Covid test to return to school).

Ethics, schmethics! She still wants you to run for office! Armina supported extremist public school-hater Aneta Krpekyan in 2024, so clearly Armina Gharpetian knows good candidates when she sees them!

It appears Gharpetian's call has been answered by "retired astronomer" Dave Cole and former City Councilman Vrej Agajanian. It is unclear if either man has a platform or any engagement with GUSD.

A cursory Facebook search shows that Dave Cole used to be on Glendale Council PTA and appears to have spent most of his time posting about Covid rates and vote tallies despite this information being already available on various dashboards.

As for Vrej Agajanian, he was endorsed by hitter of glass ceilings mayor Ara Najarian in 2024 and promptly lost his re-election bid. In his 2020-2024 term, Vrej often appeared confused in council meetings and voters noticed!
