Glendale Mayor and His Fans Lash Out at Random Residents; City Council Outed for ICE Contract

Last week saw a flurry of activity among our local extremists and reactionary majority city council. We've covered the prolonged battle over the city providing financial support to glendaleOUT's Pride Picnic in the Park, but let's dig into the collaborators, corruption, and cruelty that define Glendale's government and its bootlickers.
Both at the council meeting and within the web of social media accounts they are connected to, familiar public comment performance artists Maro Yacoubian, Ray Shelton, and Mike Mohill accused multiple community members by name.
Here are their false allegations against residents, in no specific order of severity:
being terrorists ("threats against people's lives" - Scorchy Ray Shelton)
doxxing (ED: doxxing is NOT republishing public appearances and statements. Doxxing is publishing addresses/phone numbers/emails. GEN has never done this. Dictionaries are free, even for extremists.) - think this was Maro, though we lost track at some point.
manufacturing pornography (again, Scorchy, he loves a prop).
being pedophiles (Mohill, Scorchy)
destroying an Armenian charter school in Pasadena (Maro).
Yacoubian was especially wound up, even for her -- calling in twice to do random transphobia about youth sports, threaten vague legal action, call local queer organization glendaleOUT a "hate group," and accuse a Guardian journalist of writing a "hit piece" against her...back in January 2024.
The article Yacoubian alludes to was in fact a carefully reported piece on the impact of escalating anti-LGBTQ+ extremism on the city's queer people- specifically the Armenian LGBTQ+ population. Maro Yacoubian is quoted multiple times in the piece, which seems to suggest she consented to an interview and was given an opportunity to share her perspective:

From the dais, Ara Najarian ALSO appeared to accuse multiple Glendale citizens of serious crimes, repeating the claims also made by his sister, Maro Yacoubian and hate newsletter goblin Mike Mohill. Najarian's accusations from his seat as a public servant raise serious questions about his fitness for office, and legal compliance with elected official's ethical code.
It appeared that Najarian was reading this very blog during the meeting.
Later in the meeting, attorney Sarah Houston appeared to demand information regarding Glendale's contract with ICE, informing the council that one of her clients had been detained for 10 hours in Glendale's jail without food or water and then transferred to an ICE facility.
Council members mostly tried to downplay the contract, with Mayor Ara Najarian trying to make the facility seem luxurious with this anecdote:
The city is paid $85 per person, per day, apparently a sum they feel is a fair trade for their moral compass and the trust and safety of the 49% of Glendale residents who were born outside the United States.
By Wednesday night, independent journalists had picked up the story of the Glendale/ICE partnership and on Thursday the LA Times covered, sparking widespread outcry and coinciding with a wave of aggressive and violent immigration raids throughout Los Angeles county.
From the extreme dysfunction that's led to public meetings becoming forums for unchecked harassment of innocent residents, tantrums from elected officials, and almost no productive business being done to the bleak reality of a city government willing to collaborate with the modern day gestapo for a pittance-- it was truly a dark week in Glendale.
