This weekend a joint effort of the LA County GOP and its supposedly younger sibling the LA county "Young" Republicans led a local canvassing effort to push for No votes on Prop 50. Reminder: Prop 50 is California's answer to Texas's corrupt n plan to re-district the state to create more Republican-led districts and tip the scales in Congress. (Texas didn't even put the issue to voters, they just redistricted).
An assortment of elder millennials claim to have knocked 1000 doors in the Glendale/La Canada/La Crescenta area- thoughts and prayers to all- while according to the heavily filtered car rants of Elizabeth Barcoharpy, Democrats are over-performing in ballot returns (don't let that make you complacent- VOTE YES, GET THAT BALLOT IN, AND TELL YOUR FRIENDS TO DO THE SAME).
Meanwhile, yesterday Politico published a story covering the leaked chat logs of Young Republican chapter leaders from multiple states, many of whom work for Republican party politicians, orgs, or in at least one case, are even elected officials.
No one familiar with the Young Republicans as an organization is shocked to see the chats are rife with open racism, violent rhetoric, and irony-poisoned "jokes" about human rights atrocities like the Holocaust and slavery.

We can't say what exactly the internal chat logs of OUR local "Young" Republican chats contain but we can observe their public comments, stated beliefs and actions...Many of our local Young(ish) Republicans are connected online to the wider Young Republican network. Based on their posts, Anthony Cabassa, Lisa Cusak, Kristen Valle, and the LAC YR instagram regularly engage with other YR content.
UPDATE: Current YR member and former vice chair of the LA County Young Republican Chapter weighed in on both twitter and Instagram, furious that national YR leadership apologized for the Nazi chats and revealing he is in the same kind of chats, and expects his followers are too. Anyone think the Nazi stuff is a problem yet?
