The yard signs are up, the endorsements are in, and the MAGA clown car of candidates for our local Glendale races remains unmatched!
MAGA CANDIDATES TAKE TO SOCIAL MEDIA TO BOOST EACH OTHER
City Council candidates Alek Bartrosouf, Dan Brotman, and Elen Asatryan seem to be getting under the skin of local MAGA, who are increasingly active on Nextdoor clutching their pearls about the possibility of bike lanes and affordable housing.
Local MAGA freaks Beth Brooks, Alex Balekian, and Patrick Murphy's wife Genae are posting regularly on Nextdoor. The people who want you to believe their main issue is utility prices are absolutely fine with using an Olympic pool’s worth of water to make images of Dan Brotman as a cholo.
In other news, GUSD School Board candidate Janet Balekian notes she "is a teacher" but public records show that she lost her teaching credential due to disciplinary action for "misconduct." Whoopsie.
Even weirder, a local realtor seems to be doing drag as "Karin of Nextdoor," posting slopaganda against Bartrosouf, Brotman, and Asatryan and harassing neighbors in the comments. S/he also appears to take credit for the 'dbsucks' account that has cropped up recently on Instagram. This person seems to run the "dbsucks" account too.
It seems that Karin is filling the void left by James Clarke, Alex Balekian's husband (still?). Perhaps James' anti-Armenian bigotry has just gotten to be too much!
Anyone hoping for adults in the room will be disappointed. Local useless community organization ANCA Glendale has weighed in on Glendale races, and they have assembled a slate of candidates connected to some of the dumbest MAGA extremism in recent memory. (NOTE: ANCA Glendale should not be confused with the more legitimate ANCA Western Region or ANCA National orgs).
First up, ANCA Glendale endorsed a Charlie Kirk-lovin' bible-fearin' Republican white lady named Debbie Blute instead of local Armenian-American candidate Janet Balekian. ANCA Glendale also endorsed Greg Krikorian, the 2022 city clerk loser (who blamed credit card debt on his wife and initially refused to accept his Clerk loss in 2022); Greg is also a noted union hater. ANCA Glendale also has backed 2024 GUSD Board candidate loser Shant Kevorkian again.
You may recall that ANCA Glendale endorsed MAGA freak Aneta Krpekyan (along with unknown Shant Kevorkian) in 2022. Will ANCA Glendale continue their losing streak with GUSD? It's up to the voters now!
TL;DR: Election Day is one month away, do your research.
